Boost Your Immune System

There are many things that can crash your immune system bringing on sickness and disease.
Your immune system, when healthy, helps fight of colds, infections and anything else that can make you sick.

There are a lot of things that can break down your immune system, but one of the big ones is...

So what can you do?  There are several things that you can do to take action.

Every part of your body, including your immune system, functions better when protected from environmental assaults and bolstered by healthy-living strategies such as these:

Eat Healthy- Multiple servings of colorful fruits and veggies.  Use Garlic, Onion, Tumeric and other spices when cooking.  Avoid Fast Food!
Exercise Regularly-30-45 minutes daily will help boost your immune system.  Even if it is walking, just get moving.
Meditate or take some "ME" time-Anything that you can do to alleviate stress.  Take a walk, deep breathing exercises, do something that brings you a calming sense.  Stressed at your job or at home?  Walk away and take a break for 10 minutes.  Regroup your thoughts and breathe deep.  I use the 3-2-1 countdown method.  Close your eyes and take a deep breath.  As  you exhale, envision the number "3"  three times.  Take a deep breath, exhale and envision the number "2" three times.  Take another deep breath, exhale and envision the number "1" three times.   Then just relax and go to your "happy place".

Another thing you can do that might help boost your immune system is to use essential oils.  You can use this blend in a diffuser, or put them in a blending bottle and put a drop or two in your hands, rub together and inhale.

A friend of mine from Simply Natural Notions has shared a great idea that I just began using.
Portable Diffusers.  Here was her post and it has a couple of great blends on it also.

I now carry these bottles with course sea salt in them with my blends.  Thank you Camille at Simply Natural Notions for this great idea!

This is the blend that you are going to want to use to boost your immune system.

Lavender essential oil can be supportive in cases of anxiety and stress.
Geranium essential oil can be supportive in cases of Infectious diseases & intestinal parasites
Rosemary essential oil can have antimicrobial properties & stimulates the nervous system
Melaleuca  essentail oil can have antibacterial & antifungal properties

As you can see, it is important to eat healthy, get exercise, take some "ME" time to destress and you can even add the use of essential oils that can possibly help stimulate your immune system.

Remember that not all essential oil blends work for everybody.  What may work for some may not have the same affect on you.
